"El Cantante" is synonymous with salsa. The movie was a nice tribute but didn't show how much his music connected with his fans and his peers. He was highly respected because of the songs he chose to sing and the soulful way he sang them. This tribute is mostly on the dance tip. I didn't get into his boleros or romantic songs much even though he pulled it off with ease. I could've continued playing his music for days since he put out alot of great music but I tried to condense it therefore some songs were left out. Maybe a part 2. is down the road. Anyway I enjoyed taking the trip I hope you do too. New Year Salsa Party Mix

This is my tribute to the ambassadors of salsa music El Gran Combo De Puerto Rico. With well over 60 years of music behind them they are still going strong. I needed at least 2 hours as I tried to cover the 6 decades of music from this tremendous band. So get your dancing shoes ready for some old school and new school Gran Combo. Please share this with your friends and help keep salsa alive into the next century. http://teeon2.podomatic.com
